Annette Funicello, an American singer and actor. Most famously, she was one of the Mickey Mouse Club's "Mouseketeers". In her teens Annette began her professional career in singing and became known for her smash hits "Tall Paul" as well as "Pineapple Princess.' Annette was an introverted child that grew up in Utica with Italian immigrants. She wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment business, and quickly switched on acting and dancing. The mid-1950s saw her gain a significant amount of recognition through her performances on "Disney" sketch shows. Annette's Disney persona faded after she turned an adult and was able to play adult roles. Being one of the first performers, Annette was credited as the first to introduce the "beach" style of party. The films she appeared in included "Pajama Parties", 'How to stuff a wild bikini', and 'Beach Party'. Annette recorded occasionally.
